AI in Hiring

How AI Gives Recruiters Their Hours Back

Most of a recruiter's week goes on reading CVs and repeating screening calls. Here is how AI, and SakhaOS in particular, takes that work off your plate.

Ask a recruiter what they enjoy about the job and you will hear about people: finding the right candidate, making the call that changes someone's career, closing the placement. Ask where the week actually goes and the answer is different. Reading CVs. Making the same screening call for the fortieth time. Typing notes. Chasing people who have not replied.

None of that is the part of recruitment that needs a human. It is the part that eats the time that does.

Where the hours disappear

  • CV reading. Opening resumes one by one and judging each against the job description.
  • First-round screening calls. Asking about current and expected CTC, notice period, location and interest, then writing down the answers.
  • Technical checks. Preparing questions for each role and each candidate.
  • Comparison. Turning scattered notes into something a client can read and trust.

Each step is small. Added together across dozens of roles and hundreds of candidates, they fill most of the working week, and they are repeated for every new opening.

What AI can take over

Repetitive, rule-based work is where AI helps most. In hiring that means reading and scoring CVs against a job description, making a consistent first screening call, and putting the results in the same format every time. A machine does not get tired on the hundredth candidate, and it does not forget to ask about notice period.

How SakhaOS does it

SakhaOS, our AI recruitment platform, follows the same path a careful recruiter would, without the waiting.

  1. Upload the job description and the CVs. SakhaOS reads each CV and scores it against the role.
  2. Automated screening calls. A voice agent phones candidates and captures CTC, notice period, location and interest.
  3. Technical questions from each CV. Questions are written from the candidate's own background, not a generic list.
  4. One ranked scorecard. Every candidate is scored out of 100 on the same rules, so comparisons are fair and easy to explain to a client.
  5. Your team takes over. Feedback rounds, decisions, offers and the joining checklist stay with your recruiters, and reports come out as Excel, PowerPoint or PDF.

The result is that your team starts the day with a ranked shortlist instead of a pile of CVs, and spends its time talking to the best people.

People still decide

Speed matters, but so does trust. A recent roundup of G2 review data on AI agents found that 77% of users trust their agent, yet only 7% would give it full autonomy, and 60% want autonomy with guardrails. That matches how we built SakhaOS: the AI does the repetitive work, and your recruiters review, decide and send the offers.

It also means using AI responsibly. Candidates should know they are speaking with an automated system, and calls should respect consent, calling hours and local rules. Responsible use is part of the job, not an extra.

Where to start

  • Pick one open role with a large pile of CVs.
  • Note the hours your team normally spends on reading and first calls for that role.
  • Run the same role through SakhaOS and compare the time and the shortlist.

If the hours you get back are worth having, expand from there. If not, you have lost very little.

Spending too many hours on screening?

SakhaOS reads and scores every CV, phones candidates and hands you a ranked shortlist. See it on a role like yours.
